My work is frequently concerned with giving a bland, mass produced object a personality.

I find great value in hands on practice and hard work. To me, the more that the viewer can tell about my making process and use of materials, the better. I would also extend the making process to include all of the social interactions, journeys, and challenges that are encountered along the way.

I want to see at what point one thing becomes another thing, can something manufactured become, through the investment of time, something handmade?
